Dear Friends,
On Thursday, August 12th TEAM BAISA will hold a Rockin’ Fifties Party to celebrate Gladys Baisa’s 70th birthday. We think it is important to celebrate and give thanks for the blessings that allow her to continue to hold elected office. As one of the wonderful people who have been a part of her life, the many who have helped her along the way, and those who have afforded her the honor to serve Maui County, we would be deeply honored if you are able to join us at this fun event.
We are planning to take everyone back to Gladys’ favorite years, the fifties, to her Old Maui High School days of Dick Clark and American Bandstand. We’ll have classic cars, rock and roll music and dancing, a special Rock and Roll Show, fifties dress, an Elvis look-alike contest, and our favorite lunch from the Old Maui High School cafeteria! Come enjoy pupu and coke and root beer floats. There will be birthday cake and ice cream as well as lots of great door prizes, including a 32” HD LCD TV as grand prize.
We are enclosing a couple of tickets for your convenience, and as usual, kids are free. Tickets will also be available at the door. If you write a check, please make it payable to TEAM BAISA. Come sing Happy Birthday to Gladys with us and have a lot of fun! Get out your jeans, white t-shirts, black leather jackets, poodle skirts, black and white oxfords and come rock and roll! Come as you are if that feels more comfortable. Everyone is welcome. Let’s make this a night to remember!
